Cali Mykonos HotelMykonos, Greece

Cali Mykonos is a landmark in Greek hospitality, a complex that follows the natural topography without intervention, where architecture, landscape and light coexist in quiet dialogue.

Prolight’s Lighting Design team was involved from the earliest stages, working alongside the architectural and construction teams to define a lighting concept rooted in understated luxury and harmony with the natural environment.

The lighting strategy unfolds along the resort’s central axis: from the front desk, through the building’s wings, to the restaurant bar — culminating at a private beach cove. Every transition was considered as a lighting moment. The 120-metre signature pool anchors the scheme, with linear RGBW lighting along the vertical marble surfaces and recessed diffused spotlights creating depth and reflection.

For the 42 individually designed suites, the approach was intimate and precise: recessed ceiling lights, reading lights integrated into marble headboards, concealed sources within vertical stone surfaces, and miniature fixtures throughout. Bathrooms feature linear lighting that traces and differentiates the marble finishes. All exterior corridors — private and communal — use low-profile asymmetric downlights with fully concealed sources, eliminating visual noise.

Decorative fixtures by Artemide, Panzeri, DGA and Astro were selected in white, black and bronze, adding warmth without distraction.

The project was delivered through Prolight’s integrated Design & Supply service — from concept to specification and procurement — on time and within budget.
