At the Farmhouse in Kythira, Prolight teamed up with R. C. Tech to transform this centuries‑old stone building into a luminous modern retreat, where every beam honors architecture and heritage.
Inside, the lighting enhances the character of each curved space. Soft, indirect light washes over the arched ceilings, preserving their sculptural weight while adding a sense of intimacy. In the main living area and adjacent kitchen, a continuous lighting rhythm gently connects the two rooms, framing the flow without interruption. Discreet wall and ceiling integrations bring out the texture of the natural materials – stone, plaster, wood – revealing their depth as daylight fades. Outside, subtle path and uplighting extends the experience into the landscape, without disturbing the island’s quiet atmosphere.
Every fixture is selected or custom‑designed to balance heritage and comfort. Integrated controls ensure moods shift naturally – from bright mornings to serene evenings – mirroring the island’s slow tempo.
The result is a home that feels timeless, where light reveals the dialogue between history and contemporary living.
