LIGHTING DESIGN
Prolight
At the heart of the Athens Riviera, the lighting design for Somewhere Boutique Hotel transforms the property into an intimate sanctuary where light becomes an integral part of the architectural experience. The lighting design is carefully orchestrated to shape atmosphere, evoke emotion, and enrich the guest journey. Inspired by the exceptional daylight of Vouliagmeni, the design establishes a seamless dialogue between natural and artificial light, creating a gentle transition from the vibrant coastal landscape to calm, restorative interiors. Every lighting scene is precisely calibrated to reinforce the hotel’s understated luxury and its distinctive “home away from home” character.
The lighting concept prioritizes warmth, visual comfort, and material expression throughout the hotel’s carefully curated spaces. Within the 11 suites and shared living areas, discreet layers of indirect illumination reveal the refined textures of light timber finishes and bespoke furnishings while preserving the integrity of the neutral palette. Outdoors, the pool deck and sea-facing terraces are illuminated with carefully controlled, glare-free lighting that enhances the night time experience without competing with the surrounding landscape. Through a restrained and minimalist approach, light subtly reveals architectural form, reinforces a sense of privacy, and elevates the timeless elegance that defines this boutique hospitality destination.
