Tony’s Pizza sits within the castle walls of Kythira, combining authentic Neapolitan pizza with panoramic views. The lighting brief was clear: enhance the food, support the pizza-making ritual, and create an atmosphere that works for every kind of guest.
Indoors, a combination of architectural and decorative lighting at 3000K establishes a clean, warm environment. A flexible waterproof LED strip follows the curve of the marble prep counter, while a higher-intensity CRI90+ source at the pass makes the pizzas visually irresistible to anyone walking by.
Outdoors, the priority was preserving the view and avoiding any visual intrusion. With table lamps ruled out by the client, integrated LED strips were recessed discreetly into the surrounding wooden benches, illuminating the food without exposing the source. Additional concealed lighting beneath the seating casts a soft reflected light onto diners’ faces. Small diffused decorative fixtures on the building façade complete the scheme, filtering light gently into the space.
The result is a balanced, inviting outdoor ambiance achieved with a tightly limited budget. All fixtures feature CRI90+ LED sources and are phase-cut dimmable throughout.
