CALI MYKONOS is a landmark project in the Greek hospitality industry, a multi-dimensional and very demanding construction that follows the natural flow of the ground without any intervention in its morphology.

PROLIGHT's award-winning Lighting Design Department has been involved in the project since its "birth," supporting the architectural and construction teams. Meetings and site visits defined the initial lighting concept, both at the architectural lighting level and at the style and aesthetic level. The end result was an approach aimed at understated luxury, overall elegance and perfect harmony with the stunning natural landscape.

To define precise lighting options, the main driveway begins at the front desk and runs through the arms of the building, ending at the restaurant bar, with a "surprise" in the form of the complex's small private beach cove at the end. At the same time, lighting for the hotel's signature 120-meter center pool was thoughtfully considered: linear RGBW lighting along the vertical marble and recessed diffused light spots were chosen. In addition, 42 suites were design individually and four mock up rooms were created to confirm the final options. The surroundings were considered at the same time as the building, as each room was influenced by a private courtyard and plantings.

The lighting strategy was aimed at soft, small-scale, and intense lighting that was completely free of visual obstacles. Low-frequency fixtures with asymmetrical downward beams and concealed light sources integrated into the walls were chosen for all exterior corridors, both common and private.

Room lighting consisted of recessed lighting, recessed reading lights in marble headboards, special stone recessed spotlights integrated into the rooms' vertical marble, concealed lighting in closets and mini-bars, and miniature fixtures. The system consists of courtesy fixtures in the Bathrooms are equipped with linear lighting accentuating the different types of marble. Decorative fixtures from leading brands such as Artemide, Panzeri, DGA and Astro are installed on walls, floors and tables, mostly in white, black and bronze shades, which warm up the space and provide the necessary understated luxury.

The project utilized Prolight's Design and Supply service. It includes lighting design services and lighting supplier selection. Prolight's exclusive partnerships with leading international brands, as well as experience, knowledge and know-how in hotel lighting allowed the company to provide technically and aesthetically perfect lighting on time and within the budget required for a high-demand project.
