On the ground floor of a typical building of the time of Baron Haussmann, at Neuilly-sur-Seine, Paris, there is a  historic apartment dates back to the 19th century which covers an area of about 400 sq.m. The brief requested from the architectural firm was about modifying the place into a modern apartment, which, respects the architectural heritage of the building. The lighting solution combines a reflective ceiling, which was placed on its roof and maximizes the natural light, "bringing" it to depth of the dwelling. Rotating spot lights point out the contemporary pieces of art all along the corridor, while at the back of the wall drawers there are hidden LED strips incorporated, which emit a "magical", indirect lighting. In terms of color, the bright tones of the walls alternate with vivid design in furniture and art. The decorative details of the building were painted white, to contrast with the modern furniture and carpentry elements. All  the original metal parts and objects such as knobs and fixtures, were maintained with care, as well the old wooden floor.
