Lighting Design for Rolling Greens Villas at Costa Navarino

Rolling Greens is Costa Navarino's new proposal for luxury resort living. PROLIGHT illuminated all 42 privately owned villas of this exclusive neighborhood, located at the heart of the resort.

The development of the Rolling Greens neighborhood embodies refined architectural excellence, designed by three leading Greek studios, Buerger Katsota Architects, Thymio Papayannis & Associates, and ISV Architects. Spanning from 2019, this long-term collaboration called for a lighting design approach that would enhance the distinct and luxurious character of each space while supporting a sustainable, context-driven architectural vision.

Working in parallel with the architectural teams from the early concept stage to final implementation, PROLIGHT ensured that every lighting element was harmoniously embedded within the surrounding environment and aesthetics of Costa Navarino. 

The lighting design for the 19 Villas designed by Buerger Katsota Architects focused on integration, comfort, and sustainability, supporting the innovative and bioclimatic architecture of the villas with bespoke and sophisticated lighting solutions.

With large openings to the Ionian Sea and The Dunes Course inviting the Mediterranean daylight indoors, our lighting strategy aimed to complement and extend this dialogue between space and natural light.

Each villa’s lighting scheme prioritizes seamless architectural integration, high-performance luminaires with superior color rendering, visual comfort through soft, glare-free lighting and flexibility through intuitive lighting scenarios.

The lighting blends into the architecture to preserve the villas' clean silhouettes, bringing the surrounding landscape to life at night, without disturbing the natural balance.
